This past weekend started out on Friday when I got off work early and got to go home and relax for once! I'm sure all of you business owners out there understand what I mean when I say "for once". I feel like I'm constantly on-the-go and I never stop. So this was nice. Friday night, Colby and I stayed in by the fireplace and watched two intriguing movies. The first was The Interview. We had heard many different reviews on this movie, so we decided to watch it ourselves. It was the funniest thing ever! It's a little awkward in some parts, but good Lord - it was funny.
Next, we decided to watch Lucy. This was a really cool movie too. It wasn't "funny" like the last one - it was just very interesting to watch. It had me intrigued the entire time, however, it left me a tad confused at the end. If any of you movie-goers out there have seen this movie, I would love if you could enlighten me on the ending.
Saturday was a fun-packed day of everything! I woke up and wrote my blog post for the day, got ready to go and went to Maymont for an engagement session! Boy, it was cooooooooold outside and there was still snow on the ground, but that didn't stop my lovely clients from being as awesome as they were.
Oh, and can we talk about how prepared Katherine was?! She picked out her entire outfit and Tyler's outfit and all of the props she brought along with her from BlueGreenAqua Boutique in Williamsburg! Talk about prepared!! I love this woman. Plus, look at the sweet gift she got for me!!
Katherine, you are seriously the best. Thank you so much for this sweet little camera necklace - I adore it!
Saturday evening was spent on a date night - these don't happen often as Colby and I are both broke college students. Plus, we both have part-time jobs, he is in the military, and I am a photographer. Talk about crazy schedules! We went to the movies and saw Kingsman, which was amaaaaaaazing! I highly suggest it, if you couldn't tell. Then, we went to Cheeburger, Cheeburger because I have never been there before! It was pretty good if you like deep-fried everything. Haha, I ended up getting a pretty amazing salad and the best chocolate shake I've ever had from there.
Sunday was spent relaxing at home getting a lot of work done and taking time to focus. It was supposed to be spent with a client, however, we rescheduled due to the crazy ice we endured! That's alright though because relaxing is always nice when you don't expect it...
