I have been preparing for this season for so long now and I am so happy that it is finally here. Most photographers dread the slow season, but I admire it. Why is that? Well, you will soon find out... During this season, it allows me to focus on my business and really focus on the smaller things that get overlooked so easily....It also allows me to network with other photographers!! This is one of the most important things you could do in this industry.
It allows you to meet other people who do things just like you do, but in different ways. It allows you to have a different perspective on things and see what you do and don't like about how they operate. It allows you to apply those things to your own business.
So last weekend, I drove up to Leesburg, Virginia (right on the border of Maryland!) and got to meet some wonderful ladies! It was so much fun, despite the bitter wind and the chilly temperatures. What made it even better was the fact that there was snow on the ground! Fredericksburg never gets snow so when I have the chance to take snow pictures, trust me, I will.
These ladies and I chatted about so many different areas of photography and it was inspiring to see why these women loved what they love. Some photographers love doing senior portraits, some love families, some love newborns and maternity, and some even love weddings. Just guess where I fall in that list! :) Yes, weddings, of course. But, I also love portraits, boudoir, and maternity. (Senior sessions and families are also available upon request)
Bethanne is a stunning mother of two and from these pictures, you would never believe me when I say that. She is the most stunning mother I have ever met, and what a sweetheart she is!
Goodness, she is gorgeous!
Vanessa has the prettiest smile I have ever seen! Just look how sweet that laugh is!
She also has pretty much the most perfect hair I've ever dealt with. It didn't have to be fixed at all!
Justine is also such a sweet mother and after much Facebook stalking, I am convinced that her children are the most beautiful people on the planet!! Seriously, they're adorable.
I just love this tall grass! 48 Fields is seriously the best ever!!
Rachael is majorly a newborn, child, and family photographer and I admire her so much for that! Plus, she has amazing work, but I think she does an excellent job in front of the camera too! Plus, she's a pretty wonderful mommy too!
Plus, can we take a second to admire her amazing job with accessorizing?! I love her necklace so much.
Last but not least, is the wonderful owner of 48 Fields- Kelly! She is such a sweetheart for letting us wander around the farm and take a million pictures.
Her jacket is gorgeous and don't even get me started on the boots. I can't even! They're amazing!!
I had an amazing time with these ladies and I cannot wait to go back to 48 Fields very soon! It's so gorgeous! (Feel free to check out more info on it here)
Oh, and you can't miss these SNOW pictures!!!!
